Our Rhine Falls Swiss Log Cabin is “King of the Creek” at Barons CreekSide Swiss Village. This one-bedroom, romantic getaway cabin for two in the heart of Texas Hill Country sits on high ground with the bubbling creek flowing continuously past. Open the windows or relax in the open air on the front porch to the lulling music of the resort’s beautiful waterfall.
The grand interior of this authentic Swiss construction cabin retreat features an open-concept living space with a cozy sitting room, a furnished kitchenette, and a master suite. Snuggle up together next to a roaring fire in our stone-surround, wood-burning fireplace, or take a soak in the two-person jacuzzi tub. End the day with a good night’s sleep in our king-sized bed.
Outside, you can enjoy the fresh air in peace and privacy from two large covered porches at Rhine Falls. Pour a glass of wine from our resort vineyard and settle into our old-fashioned rocking chairs, or cook dinner together on the provided barbecue grill or the private outdoor fire pit. Cabin guests also enjoy complimentary locally ground coffee and condiments.
Barons CreekSide Swiss Village is locally recognized as the “most romantic getaway in Hill Country.” Our specially designed, for-couples-only Swiss cabins are ideal for engagements, elopements, anniversaries and romantic retreats of all kinds.
Resort cabins can also be rented out together to accommodate larger wedding parties (maximum 52). We maintain beautiful grounds with several options for a scenic ceremony. There is also The Club onsite — just a short walk from your cabin — for rehearsal dinners or a small reception. We can even recommend local florists and caterers.
Barons CreekSide Swiss Village is located just 5 minutes from shopping, dining and attractions in and around Fredericksburg. Take a haunted tour of the historic downtown area or you can head out into the lovely countryside for a scenic day hike around Enchanted Rock State Park, or head off on a shuttle tour of 40 local wineries.
In addition to The Club (our onsite European bistro and live entertainment venue is open to the public, so call ahead to reserve your table on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evenings), we have a collection of unique onsite amenities and activities including nature walks along our manicured trails and through our vineyard; fishing for catfish, perch or bass on Barons Creek; or enjoying an in-cabin couple’s massage from a local professional.

Your card is charged 14 days before arrival. If you cancel up to 72 hours before arrival, we would issue you a gift certificate for a future stay for the entire amount. Cancellations up to two weeks in advance will be charged a processing fee of $49.99. Cancellations made less than72 hours in advance will be issued a gift certificate if the cabin is able to be re-rented.
Additional guests not disclosed during booking will be charged upon arrival. No pets.
We absolutely loves our stay here! We were looking for a quiet, romantic place to stay for our 20 year anniversary and I'm so glad we cancelled our hotel stay and changed it to here. The Club had a very welcoming atmosphere for all age groups. Sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch morning and night was so relaxing. We even ventured down the nature trail. We saw so many fireflies, it was magical! I haven't see those in years. It was also nice how easy it is to check in and out here. This will be on our list to come visit again. J & S

The location was great, close enough and far enough from town. We stayed in the Lucerne cabin. It was lovely and perfect for a two night getaway. Deborah and Daniel were wonderful hosts. The location was perfect. As soon as you stepped foot on the property you were transported to the countryside. However, you are so close to town if you need to run in or plan on walking down Main Street. The owners were wonderful and provided a fantastic experience. Barons Creekside is beautiful, secluded and peaceful! My husband and I were only able to come for an overnight trip this time but we will definitely be back!! Reservations, check in and out were easy. The cabin was so cozy and welcoming. We are hoping to make this an annual destination. Well worth the drive if you are looking for a much needed trip away! Resort owner Dr. Daniel Meyer of Switzerland fell in love with the Texas Hill Country on a trip to the United States in 2006. After one night in what is now the Baron’s Log Cabin, he decided to buy the home and 26 acres of undeveloped pasture to create what would one day become the CreekSide Swiss Village in Fredericksburg.
Using historic design elements of his own 250-year-old Swiss farmhouse in Lucerne (such as its doors and windows) — along with the talents of Texas cabin builder Joey Johns and the teachings of a native Swiss craftsman, he set out to build his dream village one cabin at a time, filling them with genuine antiques along the way.
Daniel has since met his partner in the native Texan lady Deborah, who shares his passion for the resort. Barons CreekSide has been host to proposals, weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, reunions and more.
