Hilltop Chalet at Barons CreekSide Swiss Village comprises of two neighboring cabins with a connecting door. These airy Swiss cottage style homes — our Hilltop SunRise and SunSet — offer accommodations for up to eight guests overlooking the pond and resort grounds.
The Hilltop SunRise is a one-bedroom suite with a king-sized bed, a private bath, a cozy sitting room and a fully equipped modern kitchen. There is also a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the sitting area and a furnished patio set under a mature oak tree with a beautiful view.
The Hilltop SunSet also has one bedroom, furnished with two queen-sized beds, as well as its own private bath, living room, kitchen, and deck. Best of all, the SunSet features an outdoor hot tub, set out under the stars in the heart of Texas Hill Country. Who needs a hotel?
The entire Hilltop Chalet combines the amenities of the SunRise and SunSet with two bedrooms, two baths, two living areas, two places to prepare group meals, and a spacious outdoor area — fully furnished, with a great view and a hot tub. Four guests per suite.
Your stay at Hilltop Chalet offers tons of romantic and family-friendly day trips to visit local attractions in the Fredericksburg, TX area. We have unique amenities and activities right on resort grounds, as well as being close to the downtown area and several outdoor adventure destinations.
Within walking to SunRise and SunSet we have:
• a series of nature trails through resort grounds
• a working onsite vineyard
• The Club open Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evenings— our European bistro and live music hall, open to the public
• fishing at Barons Creek (look for bass, catfish and perch)
• in-cabin couple’s massages
Within a 20-minutes drive from the Chalet we have:
• a shuttle tour through 40 local wineries starting at 290 Wine Road
• a haunted tour of historic downtown Fredericksburg (only 5 minute drive to downtown)
• a hiking at Enchanted Rock State Park

Your card is charged 14 days before arrival. If you cancel up to 72 hours before arrival, we would issue you a gift certificate for a future stay for the entire amount. Cancellations up to two weeks in advance will be charged a processing fee of $49.99. Cancellations made less than72 hours in advance will be issued a gift certificate if the cabin is able to be re-rented.
We can only accept dogs that do NOT chase cats or ducks, and weigh less than 40 lbs. $30/pet/night fee — please call for approval. Please keep pets off the sofas and beds.
Smoking is allowed only outside the cabins/houses.
Additional guests not disclosed during booking will be charged upon arrival.
We absolutely loves our stay here! We were looking for a quiet, romantic place to stay for our 20 year anniversary and I'm so glad we cancelled our hotel stay and changed it to here. The Club had a very welcoming atmosphere for all age groups. Sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch morning and night was so relaxing. We even ventured down the nature trail. We saw so many fireflies, it was magical! I haven't see those in years. It was also nice how easy it is to check in and out here. This will be on our list to come visit again. J & S

The location was great, close enough and far enough from town. We stayed in the Lucerne cabin. It was lovely and perfect for a two night getaway. Deborah and Daniel were wonderful hosts. The location was perfect. As soon as you stepped foot on the property you were transported to the countryside. However, you are so close to town if you need to run in or plan on walking down Main Street. The owners were wonderful and provided a fantastic experience. Barons Creekside is beautiful, secluded and peaceful! My husband and I were only able to come for an overnight trip this time but we will definitely be back!! Reservations, check in and out were easy. The cabin was so cozy and welcoming. We are hoping to make this an annual destination. Well worth the drive if you are looking for a much needed trip away! Resort owner Dr. Daniel Meyer of Switzerland fell in love with the Texas Hill Country on a trip to the United States in 2006. After one night in what is now the Baron’s Log Cabin, he decided to buy the home and 26 acres of undeveloped pasture to create what would one day become the CreekSide Swiss Village in Fredericksburg.
Using historic design elements of his own 250-year-old Swiss farmhouse in Lucerne (such as its doors and windows) — along with the talents of Texas cabin builder Joey Johns and the teachings of a native Swiss craftsman, he set out to build his dream village one cabin at a time, filling them with genuine antiques along the way.
Daniel has since met his partner in the native Texan lady Deborah, who shares his passion for the resort. Barons CreekSide has been host to proposals, weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, reunions and more.
