Davos cabin is a one-bedroom getaway with a king-sized bed, a full bath with a two-person jetted tub, and an open-concept central living space. Get away from it all with your own sitting room and fireplace, and a furnished kitchenette where you can heat and prepare meals.
Best of all, you’ll have a private porch at the cabin, where you can sip your morning coffee surrounded by oak trees, trumpet vines, accompanied by one of our life size Swiss cows.
Davos is settled — along with nine other Swiss cabins and four larger vacation homes — on a delightful stretch of former Texas pasture land near Fredericksburg. These homes can be rented separately or as a group to accommodate up to 52 guests for weddings or events. Each rental has its own private porch with rocking chairs and a barbecue grill, and enjoys a scenic view of the resort’s bubbling creek and its beautiful vineyard.
Barons CreekSide Swiss Village has so much to do and see, right on the grounds. Your cabin is just a short walk away from The Club — a European style bistro and wine & beer bar that also hosts regular live music events in the evening. Reserve your table, and enjoy locally grown wines and craft beers while being serenaded by original jazz music under the best sunset in Hill Country.
The resort also works with local professionals to offer couples massages, right in the privacy of your own cabin. Other onsite amenities include fishing in the creek, — home to catfish, bass and perch — exploring our nature trails, or setting off on a wine tour from 290 Wine Road. We are located within 20 minutes of 40 local wineries, with shuttles and lunch stops along the way.
Other local attractions include trail rides at the Blue Moon Sanctuary, a “haunted tour” of historic downtown Fredericksburg, hiking at Enchanted Rock State Park (just a 20-minute drive from the resort), or unique shopping experience in downtown.

Your card is charged 14 days before arrival. If you cancel up to 72 hours before arrival, we would issue you a gift certificate for a future stay for the entire amount. Cancellations up to two weeks in advance will be charged a processing fee of $49.99. Cancellations made less than72 hours in advance will be issued a gift certificate if the cabin is able to be re-rented.
Additional guests not disclosed during booking will be charged upon arrival. No pets.
We absolutely loves our stay here! We were looking for a quiet, romantic place to stay for our 20 year anniversary and I'm so glad we cancelled our hotel stay and changed it to here. The Club had a very welcoming atmosphere for all age groups. Sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch morning and night was so relaxing. We even ventured down the nature trail. We saw so many fireflies, it was magical! I haven't see those in years. It was also nice how easy it is to check in and out here. This will be on our list to come visit again. J & S

The location was great, close enough and far enough from town. We stayed in the Lucerne cabin. It was lovely and perfect for a two night getaway. Deborah and Daniel were wonderful hosts. The location was perfect. As soon as you stepped foot on the property you were transported to the countryside. However, you are so close to town if you need to run in or plan on walking down Main Street. The owners were wonderful and provided a fantastic experience. Barons Creekside is beautiful, secluded and peaceful! My husband and I were only able to come for an overnight trip this time but we will definitely be back!! Reservations, check in and out were easy. The cabin was so cozy and welcoming. We are hoping to make this an annual destination. Well worth the drive if you are looking for a much needed trip away! Resort owner Dr. Daniel Meyer of Switzerland fell in love with the Texas Hill Country on a trip to the United States in 2006. After one night in what is now the Baron’s Log Cabin, he decided to buy the home and 26 acres of undeveloped pasture to create what would one day become the CreekSide Swiss Village in Fredericksburg.
Using historic design elements of his own 250-year-old Swiss farmhouse in Lucerne (such as its doors and windows) — along with the talents of Texas cabin builder Joey Johns and the teachings of a native Swiss craftsman, he set out to build his dream village one cabin at a time, filling them with genuine antiques along the way.
Daniel has since met his partner in the native Texan lady Deborah, who shares his passion for the resort. Barons CreekSide has been host to proposals, weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, reunions and more.
